12 Days Uganda Gorilla, Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Tour

Following your arrival, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali at 8:30am and embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Buhoma sector). The scenic drive takes you through the rolling hills of Rwanda and into Uganda. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Early morning breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be entertained by local cultural performers, then assigned a gorilla family to track. Ascend into the jungles in search of gorillas — the trek can take 1 to 4 hours. Along the way you may encounter other primates and bird species. Upon meeting the gorillas, spend a maximum of one hour interacting and taking photos. Descend back to receive your trekking certificate, then return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali. If time allows, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a brief historical tour. Later head to Kigali airport to catch your flight to Arusha, Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up by our guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park (about 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, check in at the lodge or go straight for a game drive. You will have almost a whole day game drive, expecting to see large herds of elephants, giant baobab trees, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, exit Tarangire and embark on a drive to Serengeti National Park, famous for its huge numbers of wildlife. Complete park entry formalities, then head into the park on a game drive as you make your way to your accommodation. Along the way you will encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, Thomson gazelles, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs, and more. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Wake up for breakfast and enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, home to the greatest concentration of wildlife on Earth. Look out for the Big Five — lions are abundant across the park. Increase your wildlife count with elephants, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue game viewing before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, do a final morning game drive as you exit Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. En route, stop at Olduvai Gorge museum to learn about the evolution of mankind. Continue to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for a game drive. This world wonder is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, Thomson gazelles, hyenas, giraffes, jackals, and flamingos. After the crater drive, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart the beautiful Ngorongoro area and drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our company representative will pick you up and drive you to a beach resort in Nungwi, on the north coast of Zanzibar. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
